We welcome all ladies to join the Cranbrook Golf Course Ladies League. You do not need to be a Golf Club member to join our Ladies League. Here are some of the highlights:
Tuesdays are Ladies Day at the Cranbrook Golf Course. Ladies League starts on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
We have tee times blocked off (10-10:30 a.m.*) and 1 – 6:00 p.m. each ladies day but you should book your tee times through the pro shop a week ahead (*for the morning block ladies sign the “Red Book” in the pro shop the week prior and the pro shop “mixes” you up with other ladies if that is of interest to you). Tee times can be made outside these blocks as well of course.
Ladies League Fees are $60 and ladies can join the league at any time during the season.
You can pay your Ladies League fees by etransfer to: [email protected] (Please include your first and last name in the message portion of the etransfer so we can identify who has paid). If you are unable to etransfer, please reach out to our treasurer Donna Pascuzzo at [email protected] or 250-417-1278.
We have up to 5 competitive flights on Ladies Day plus one Fun flight – there are the same number of prizes in all flights (Fun flight prizes are chosen by random draw)
To play in our competitive flights you must have a Golf Canada handicap. CGC Ladies League Rules of Competition apply to all competitive flights
The maximum 18 hole handicap is 40 for the competitive flights
We play 9 holes on ladies day alternating between the front and back 9
We have a weekly fee of $5 payable prior to play ($10 for ladies who are not members of the ladies league) – this fee goes to our “second game” (i.e. KP; closest to the line) and each flight has a prize
We would like to encourage ladies to come to Clubhouse Casual for dinner following your round for a bit more social interaction with our ladies league members and guests
We have lots of fun stuff going on, for example:
The Birdie Tree (put your name on the bird if you have a birdie on any hole)
In the Drink (put your name on the pond if you land in the water on 11 or 17)
Putt for the Juice (longest putt wins some “juice)
Three draw prizes each Ladies Day
Super Tuesdays – extra prize draws
Second Tuesday of the month – we celebrate birthdays with a cake!!
Weekly e-mails with information on what’s happening to all our members
This is just an overview – lots more information is posted in the Ladies Lounge at the Cranbrook Golf Course – please come and wander through the lounge and check out what is happening on Ladies Day
If you have any questions please contact the pro shop at the Golf Course or send an email to [email protected]
Thank you to our sponsors who help to make our Ladies Day fun and successful!
