    Boasting the most hours of sunshine in all of BC, it’s only fitting that the city of Cranbrook - the largest metropolitan centre in the Kootenays - leads the way when it comes to championship golf. Not just a local leader, the Cranbrook Golf Club has been recognized at the provincial level hosting tournaments such as the BC Amateur and Senior Championships. This year, Cranbrook moves to the top level of amateur golf by hosting the RCGA Senior Match Play Championship, a national competition that draws an international field.

    Built in 1951 and always showcasing superb playing conditions, it’s not surprising that a recent guest commented that Cranbrook has the look and play of a private club but welcomes the public and is reasonably priced. Not overly long, the Cranbrook Golf Club is a prime example of a classic course where each hole is beautifully framed by tall evergreens and is a pleasure to play for golfers of all abilities.
